TAZZIBERRY (Ugni Molinae)

Pineapple, strawberry and apple taste sensation!
Tasmania's Autumn berry.

Hedging suits small tracts of land

The Plant

The Tazziberry is the fruit of a hardy evergreen shrub originating from central South America, now called the Chilean Berry there.
Please meander through our website and learn about this fantastic taste sensation and how you could become one of our growers or customers.

Versatile rich farming area. North-West Coast, Tasmania

Tasmania's temperate summers and generally reliable annual rainfall, added to considerable areas of arable land, provide a solid base for Tazziberry production.
Access to export markets (currently to Melbourne Markets) is aided by our relatively pest and disease free status.
A sizeable local market because of increasing tourism has aided our industry's early development.

We have been helped along the way by various people and most importantly by the Rural Industries Research and
Development Corporation (RIRDC) which has provided assistance funding for defining matters related to market assessment and post harvest handling.
